California Department of Education
Our Vision: To create a dynamic, world-class education system that equips all students with the knowledge and skills to excel in college and careers, and excel as parents and citizens.
Mathematics Content Standards for California Public Schools
Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level.
California Subject Matter Projects
The California Mathematics Project (CMP) is one of the nine subject matter disciplines under the California Subject Matter Project (CSMP). The CSMP is supported by the State of California and is administered by the University of California, Office of the President. All nine disciplines under the CSMP share common goals and program elements to further their mandate in providing professional and leadership development for K-12 teachers throughout the state.
California Mathematics Council
The California Mathematics Council believes that all students have the capacity to become mathematically competent and confident when provided a rigorous and challenging mathematical program supported by high expectations. Three mathematics conferences are held every year in Asilomar, Palm Springs and Seaside. For more information, especially about the plans for the 50th year at Asilomar, please click on CMC Conferences.
