Mathematics Content Standards for California Public Schools
Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement
of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills
that students should acquire at each grade level.

California Subject Matter Projects
The California Mathematics Project (CMP) is one of the nine subject
matter disciplines under the California Subject Matter Project
(CSMP). The CSMP is supported by the State of California and is
administered by the University of California, Office of the
President. All nine disciplines under the CSMP share common goals
and program elements to further their mandate in providing
professional and leadership development for K-12 teachers throughout
the state.

California Mathematics Council
The California Mathematics Council believes that all students have
the capacity to become mathematically competent and confident when
provided a rigorous and challenging mathematical program supported
by high expectations. Three mathematics conferences are held every
year in Asilomar, Palm Springs and Seaside. For more information,
